Zia Motor Lodge Redevelopment
Design
Stephen Leos and Jennifer Facio teamed together to enter a design completion sponsored by Boston Society of Architects / AIA. We looked at old Motor Court Motel sites along Rout 66 that were derelict or cleared of the original structure but had their marquee. Our proposal was to provide multifamily infill housing with retail along Central Ave. Each unit is a 3 story duplex designed to be constructed of 6 prefabricated modules. The pieces would be trucked to the site mostly complete and stacked into place to create the duplex. year: 2007
